Yoshikuni Goto was born in Saitama in 1967. He began making pottery at a Mashiko Pottery kiln in 1987, becoming an independent ceramist in Mashiko in 1994. He moved to Tochigi in 2007 and continued to keep his craftsmanship going strong.
His signature "Shinogi" is one of Japan's traditional ceramic art technics by scraping the surface of the clay creating a ridged pattern.
These small cups have many uses, serving cup for a side dish, sake cups, or just decorative pieces for the home.
